Home for Rent in Existing Community

Greetings NW communities, my partner and I each in our early 50's seek co-housing/community in the Seattle Washington area.
We prefer a remote rural site, but will review all offers so as to best suit the needs of all involved. We would consider renting, purchasing, and/or work exchange.
We both lived and worked our land in northern AZ for several years, and have lived in community on more than one occasion.
We have a very nice RV, which we are currently living in and could potentially continue to do so if there were a suitable situation. We do, however prefer a small cabin, as we own/operate our own home-based craft business.

Sky Root Community and FarmWHIDBEY ISLAND , Washington
Posted On 9/7/2011, Last Updated On 8/21/2013
Our 6-bedroom house sits on 20 acres of prime farmland on south Whidbey Island. The land is mostly rolling pasture, with a view of the Olympics, several acres of old cedar and fir, some wetland, and a year-round creek. Wildlife abounds, yet we are just 6 miles from the ferry and on the free Island Transit bus line.
We are 6 folks ranging in age from 3 to 57, with backgrounds in ecology, farming, international relations, holistic health, early childhood education, and old-time music. Our farmhouse is currently full.
Our long-term vision is a multi-generational co-housing community dedicated to spiritual growth, ecological living, organic farming, and a spirit of generosity and adventure. We are seeking like-minded, emotionally mature collaborators.
The community's founder is Karen Litfin, a University of Washington professor and author of Ecovillages: Lessons for Sustainable Community (Polity Press, December 2013).
If you sense that our budding community might be for you, please email us. Please tell us a bit about who you are & what you are looking for.

Home for Sale in Existing Community
Columbia EcoVillage CoHousingPortland , Oregon
Posted On 6/24/2013, Last Updated On 6/24/2013
Even among co-housing developments, this is dramatically unique – a secret jewel hidden in the heart of a truly dynamic city. Columbia EcoVillage Co-housing has 3.73 acres with extensive gardens, native plants, fruit and nut trees, berries, rainwater cisterns, beehives and chickens. There is currently a one bedroom condo for sale at $169,000. The condo is great – refurbished with green features in 2009. But the bigger draw is the stunning setting and the vibrant community!
In addition to the extensive gardens, common spaces include a newly built (and already paid for!) dining/gathering hall with commercial grade kitchen. More intimate than the gathering hall, yet able to accommodate more than your condo, is the community’s gorgeous 1912 craftsman style farm house with kitchen, dining room, gathering spaces, play room, guest rooms and more. There’s a large craft room, covered bike storage areas, children’s play spaces indoors and out, the list goes on and on.
There’s way too much to describe here. If you are interested in having your own private condo within a spirited and influential, multigenerational community, please do inquire further. Deborah Ham, Oregon First licensed Realtor and Columbia EcoVillage community member: 503-319-4777
