We'Moon Land
Estacada, Oregon,
United States
We'Moon Land is an intergenerational wimmin's land-based intentional community located on 52 acres, 35 miles from Portland, 5 miles from Estacada. The land has been held by and for womyn since 1973 (formerly known as Who Farm and We'Moon Healing Ground). We are a thriving community of 9---13 womyn (mostly lesbian) and girl children ranging in age from 4 to 56. We are creating a healthy spirit reality in harmony with Earth and ourselves. We are evolving our structure from sole ownership 'moonaged' by a resident collective to becoming a federal tax-exempt nonprofit 501(c)3 who will hold title to the land. We use consensus to make decisions and are committed to having clear communication--we have feelings/clearing meetings to resolve conflict when necessary.
We're striving toward getting off the grid, using permaculture and alternative building technologies, and growing more of our own food--our land is Oregon Tilth certified organic. We intend to support more home-based businesses--we currently are home to Mother Tongue Ink, publisher of We'Moon calendar, which currently provides livelihood for several members.
We are not seeking new residents, and we welcome womyn, girl children, and boy children under age seven to visit. Write for further information.
