UV is an aquatic living experiment due to launch in the spring of 2005 on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. The initial floatation platform will house 4 people, and be expanded as neccessary as the community grows.
The goal is zero negative impact on the environment, and 100% self-sufficiency in food/power production. Vegetables will be grown in self-watering floating containers and protein supplied by fishing. Wastes will be minimized and 100% recycled on board. See the website for power production information.
Volunteers are needed for moving and assembling the modular floatation platform this coming spring. Volunteer and earn your place in the core group.
