(I have friends over fairly regularly. Traveling Friends are also encouraged to visit.)

Visitor Process: If you're a friend already, drop by or call (knowing that I might not be available if you don't schedule in advance). If you're a Friend traveling in the ministry or with a letter of introduction, pick up a copy of the Traveling Friends Directory from the FGC Bookstore and follow the procedure outlined there. Population Adult Members: 1 Child Members: 0 Open to new adults: Yes (See "Basic Description" above.) Open to new children: Yes (I imagine having children within the next five years or so, and am open to the possibility that other adults moving in here might bring children with them.) Open to which gender(s): All genders welcome Age Focus: (Probably most focused on attracting age-mates - those born 1968-1988 – but that's likely to expand over time.)	Government Decision Making: Other (In the manner of Friends.) Identified Leader: Yes (My hope is for a leaderful community.) Leadership Core Group: Yes (In a six-person household, everyone is a part of the core leadership team. Even more so with just one person.)	Labor and Money Financial Style: Members have independent finances (I'm not yet ready to adopt a model other than financial independence, though I also think that people who spend time on homemaking should be paid as if for a job and compensated for the opportunity cost to their future financial self-sufficiency.) Labor Contribution: Expected (The house requires maintenance and cleaning. Who else will do it but those who live here? (No, really - who?)) Join Fee: Yes (I charge renters a security deposit. Not sure how exactly to handle this for the household, but fortunately it's not an immediate concern.) Regular Fees: Yes (I imagine that, over time, I will want to develop a shared ownership model for the house, or put it in trust and make everyone a tenant.)
Land and Buildings Urban (Southeast Portland, in the neighborhood of Hawthorne and Belmont.) Area: 0.1 acres (0.0 hectares) (5000 sq ft residential lot) Land Owned By: A subgroup of community members (Subgroup is currently one. Considering other options, including community controlled land-trust or other form of non-profit.) Number of Residences: 1 (About four thousand square feet of floor-space, including the unfinished basement.) Cohousing: No (Not technically "cohousing" - but yes, living in the same house.)	Food, etc. Percentage of Food Grown: 1-5% (Currently a very small amount. Open to growing more, but busy schedules generally intervene. Soon planting many perennial fruits.) Share Community Meals: Nearly all meals (Whenever I eat, I'm eating together. I really like sharing meals, and it seems like an essential community-building practice, so I hope to share breakfast and dinner with my community whenever possible.) Dietary Choice or Restrictions: There are some dietary restrictions (While I'm free to choose what to eat, I have a food budget, and prioritize local and organically grown foods. Also, I'm allergic to milk, eggs, and a few other things.) Dietary Practice: Omnivorous (Wide-ranging tastes in food, and a healthy respect for allergies.) Alcohol Use: Used occasionally Tobacco Use: Prohibited (Absolutely no smoking - of anything - on the property.)	Social Factors Open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and/or Transgender members: Yes Restrictions on Romantic Relationships (between consenting adults): No (Note that the existence of a romantic relationship does not trump the housemate selection process. And just because the community doesn't place a restriction doesn't mean nobody has an opinion.) Shared Spiritual Path: Yes (Many paths, one mountain.)
