All Are Welcome: We Invite You
Olympia, Washington,
United States
After many, many, many years (and meetings) "All Are Welcome: We Invite You, Olympia Ecovillage" finally has our first house (with more to come soon) up and open and we are now accepting new members into the first home of our wonderful community!
Visit www.weinviteyou.org for more info.
All Are Welcome: We Invite You, Olympia Ecovillage is named as such because we extend a welcome to all, and we invite you. We have not yet created an official name for our group.
Olympia is tremendously wonderful.
If you are interested in building and living in ecovillages, housing co-ops, land trusts, affordable student housing, or any type of shared housing group, please join us at any of our upcoming events! Even if you can't make it to one of the upcoming events listed on our website, our ecovillage group has joined with several other communities to form the new Peace Communities Social Networking Website and Online Community, and we encourage you to join us there. It has Member Profiles, Fully Customizable Themes for your page, Blogs, Discussion Forum, Event Listings, Photos and Slideshows, Custom Video Players, Real-Time Activity Stream, and more. Please visit http://www.WeInviteYou.org or go directly to http://www.peacecommunities.ning.com to sign up.
If you join us in person at a meeting or join us online in our online community, you are encouraged to bring your ideas and proposals regarding building a new community. We also greatly welcome those who are just curious or interested in living in a community and planning the creation of a community.
We will accomplish this amidst a family of mutually caring members—members who honor and encourage each other’s individual dreams and talents, yet who balance personal fulfillment with enthusiastic support for the economic, spiritual, and emotional well-being of all generations within the group. We will uphold principles of equality among all members regardless of race, creed, age, ability, income level, gender, sexual preference, or sexual orientation.
Our ecovillage will interact openly with other communities and share what we are doing through having several of the following:
• on-site businesses
• educational retreats
• workshops
• library
• lectures
• and possibly an on-site bed-and-breakfast.
You can visit www.WeInviteYou.org to learn more about us.
You can contact us by joining the email list found on our website, which anyone may join.
