Madrona Center

Madrona is a community dedicated to the arts, sustainable living and permaculture. We have existed as an arts community since 2004 and last year established a farming and permaculture group. We plan to become a center of learning for skills that will be needed in the future. On our island we have blacksmiths, potters, glassblowers, papermakers, bookbinders, wood and stone carvers, and experienced builders. Refer to the website to see our history.
We are now looking for a financially
independent individual to run programs
in permaculture, organic farming and
alternative building. We are also
supporting and involved in the Transition Towns movement.
