this community is being set up for crafters and artisans to have a low cost place to live and do their work.

I plan on setting it up as an eco-village setting with gardens and recycling, and composting and as low impact as possible.

the dwellings are to all be small 15' by 20' huts constructed by the members

there will be a central house on site with the showers and kitchens.

each member will need to pay a monthly community fee of $250 per month, which is applied to the property morgage and the up keep of the common areas.

just think you are a crafter or artisan who has managed to find a few places to carry your work, but your not makeing a whole heck of a lot of money, you don't want to go to work for some one else but you have not seen a cheap place to live.

that is what wayward soul is all about.

you get a space to build a simple dwelling, you get access to the community house with the showers, and kitchens, and refrigerators.

and you can have some space for gardening...

the land I am looking af for wayward soul is about 5 acres and a bit rural, but full of trees so nice clean air.

aout a 2 hour bike ride to portland oregon

not sure about driving time since i don't drive and the spot has not been ste in stone yet not untill I get enough interested parties involved.

looking for between 40 and 50 people.

but warning the conditions are primitave, the only part of the place that will e having power is the community house which is where the refrigerators are going to be

there will probaly be cords run through the community for lights but not with enough power for personal needs..

(dya visitors, or if you are considering joining I can set aside space for a couple of days for a tent)

Visitor Process: e-mail, stating why you would like to visit and we can arange a visit time... I get out here by bike though so you will need to come with enough money to pay for a cab to and from.

Population Open to new adults: Yes (please contact me if a primitave artist community interests you) Age Focus: No Focus (th dwelling spaces are small, but I am not going to tell you what age you have to be, if you have kids that is up to you you can opt for two spaces if you want that can be aranged for doule the membership fee of oth of you can share the one space.) Age Restrictions: Yes (are you an artist or a crafts person... dose not matter what kind of art, preformance..music... jewlery... paintings... clothing the list can go on and on....)	Government Decision Making: By consensus (a general vote, but the community founder has final say...) Identified Leader: Yes (the person who started the community, think of him a a property manager) Leadership Core Group: No Answer (any one who pays for membership has a voice.)	Labor and Money Financial Style: Members have independent finances Labor Contribution: Expected (community members are expected to clean up after them selves in commin areas) Join Fee: Yes ($500) Regular Fees: Yes ($250 per month)
Land and Buildings Urban (looking for land just out side of portland oregon, mabey like 10 to 15 miles out into the sticks..) Area: 5 acres (2.0 hectares) (have not bought the land yet waiting for members to join) Land Owned By: Individual community member(s) (your $500 buy in is used toward the down payment along with other memers monies and the monthly memership fee is used for the morgage and up keep like paying for the power that keeps the refrigerators working or the gas for the stoves or the power for the lights) Number of Residences: 51 (1 main building, then each member builds their own hut surrounding the main building.)	Food, etc. Percentage of Food Grown: 21-50% (all the open area is to be gardned and put up in a community cubard.. those who help with the gardening eat from the cubard) Share Community Meals: Rarely Dietary Choice or Restrictions: Diet is up to each individual Dietary Practice: Omnivorous (eat what you want, just clean up weel afte you cook the next person may be alergic to what you are eating.)
