We pool our money, about $40,000 each, between 5 of us.
Buy a BC property suitable for an ECO community, about 40 acres or more with good land.
We build a community based on small industry, welding/machining, tile making, agriculture, or whatever makes you creative and happy. We share the work, share the profits and re-invest in the property.
First major improvement would be to sub-divide into equal portions with a portion of land owned commonly. This would allow an easy sale if needed, and a way to pass on to your heirs. It also allows one to see that he is improving ones own land and not just common land.
Ideally we would buy a suitable piece with an existing dwelling and use it as a base to construct the rest of the dwellings.
Essentially I am just interested in getting a nice scenic piece in BC, which is almost impossible with $40,000, but very possible with $200,000.
Status: 20% of land cost confirmed
