Single Christians Welcome on the Farm

God's pasture, not actual, but on the wish list
I'm hoping to bring together single Christians seriously interested in growing together as the loving body of Christ while farming, gardening, growing herbs, etc. Many churches, as well as communities, emphasize families and married couples without giving as much consideration to what singles can offer, but this will be a place to nurture and strengthen in Christ those who feel lonely, rejected, and without family just because they are single. People who happen to be married and want to encourage singles are also welcome. This will be a place to know the love of Jesus Christ and His plan to bring unity and wholeness to the church and those who are single. Sometimes singles feel forgotten or lesser than their married counterparts. That is a falsehood some in the church have perpetuated. This community seeks to live out what the bible says about being single and serving God and one another. Among godly singles in the bible were Elijah, Daniel, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Jesus, Paul and Barnabas, as well as widows like Naomi in the Book of Ruth, and Anna. The Apostle Paul wrote about being single in a positive light: "In all you do, I want you to be free from worry. An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord's work and thinking how to please him. But a married man can't do that so well; he has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife. His interests are divided. It is the same with a girl who marries... A girl who is not married is anxious to please the Lord in all she is and does. But a married woman must consider other things such as housekeeping and the likes and dislikes of her husband...I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few other things as possible to distract your attention from him... " 1 Corinthians 7:32-35,40.
In this farm community we singles can have a safe place to work together to grow food sustainably and organically for self-sufficiency. We can share in the reading of the word of God and other spiritual literature, and together pray, worship and praise God, edify and encourage one another with thoughtful, kind, and loving words. Practicing the organic church or simple church model is similar to the early church in the book of Acts and will be helpful in preparing to serve in the kingdom of God on earth as well to prepare for heaven.
Growing fruits and vegetables, grains, herbs both medicinal and culinary, will give glory to God's and His creation. Free range livestock tended to. The farm yet, but welcome contact at this point.
