Chaneeg Channesch
also in Seattle, Washington,
United States
We are a small, spiritual, intentional community, called Chaneeg Channesch. We have held a land base for the larger part of our membership that we sold. The new owner wants to continue to host our ceremonies and have like-minded people come live in the complex. He has over four acres with a three-bedroom, two-bath farmhouse, many barns, and workshop/living areas/cabins, a large organic garden, and spaces for small animal husbandry. He also has a sacred cedar grove with a sweat lodge and moon circle, a medicine wheel near the house, and an earth mound in the garden.
The community has two clans now; one is urban and based on several privately owned properties. It is called the Wolf Clan and emphasizes relationship in Spirit and relying on each other.
The other clan is the Bear Clan; it is based in Idaho, and emphasizes healing and renewal. Grandmother Bright Owl and Grandfather Bear are living in Idaho.
Spirit told us to prepare a place for the people to come. We will be building strawbale and earthbag guest homes there, and gardening, hunting, fishing, and harvesting the Mother's abundance. We are looking for folks who want to live more lightly together on the Earth, and who want to care for these lands.
Both clans are part of Chaneeg Chaneesch and anticipate a lot of visiting back and forth. If this is your group, please get in touch with us and come see the lands we are stewarding. While we have a spiritual focus we welcome people of any belief.
